SATURDAY LIVE MUSIC NIGHTS!
Coming again in June 2022
The fantastic Fritillaries come to Brook Kitchen
Americana instrumentation, folksy rootedness and a pop song sensibility; Fritillaries’ music is sometimes upbeat and gnarly, sometimes slow and contemplative, and always original and engaging.
“A genuine joy live... bright, light and effortlessly gorgeous. Hannah and Gabriel pull off something magical every time... A real joy to watch, without fail.”
Folkroom Records, London
READ MORE ABOUT THE FRITILLARIES
Playing together since childhood, they share a unique intimacy and ability to draw audiences into their world. Their debut album - about places and people missed and found in isolation, and things found growing when we dig down into spaces the light doesn’t reach - will be released in summer 2022 on Pear O’ Legs Records.
"A delight... theirs is an emotional and intense music that needs concentration and the audience obliges, hanging onto and appreciating every word, as shown by the prolonged applause between songs."
RnR magazine, review of June 2021 headline show at The Musician, Leicester
Paul Painter - The Piano Man!
Paul has lived in Devon for most of his life, much of it performing in a range of venues, including our beautiful Exeter Cathedral. Singing and playing covers from artists who inspire him, we are excited to be welcoming Paul to Brook Kitchen for an evening of musical magic, with, we are told, a few surprises along the way!
